Pigeon Key Art Festival Offers a Full Weekend of Fun in the Keys


The 23rd Annual Pigeon Key Art Festival is Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm at the Marathon Community Park (MM 49 – not on the island itself). The family-friendly show will feature 70 fine artists, renowned marine wildlife artist Wyland who will paint live at 11 am and 2 pm, historic, marine and education exhibits and hands-on art opportunities as well as food, beer and wine concessions. Two champion sand artists will create the Island and 7-mile bridge from 15 tons of sand and the Beatlemaniax will perform an intimate concert at the Marathon park bandshell Saturday evening from 5 to 8 pm. Parking is free. Entry is $7 for both days, including the concert, and kids 12 and under are free. Guests also receive a voucher good for a ½ price ticket for an island tour within one week of the Festival.
