Key West Fire and Rescue has named its first two Employees of the Quarter for their professional performance in the first months of operation.

Carlos Barba has been honored as Paramedic of the Quarter.

Frank Abreu has been honored as EMT of the Quarter.

The Key West Fire Department brought emergency medical services in-house beginning April 1st of this year, and these two young men are part of what Chief David Fraga calls an outstanding team. The ambulance service call load has been larger than anticipated, but this professional team is more than up to the task.
