A 49-year-old man was found dead Wednesday night on a boat moored just off Wisteria Island.

Blair Gallagher, formerly of North Carolina, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Foul play is not suspected.

A woman asked law enforcement to conduct a welfare check on Gallagher as she had not heard from him in several days.

Sheriff’s Office Deputy Anthony Lopez and Key West Fire Department were taken to Gallagher’s 26-foot Catalina boat by the Coast Guard about 7 p.m.

An autopsy is pending.
