Library Friends Lecture at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church

 

Writer Edward Hower is next speaker in this season’s Friends of the Key West Library lecture series—Monday, March 2, 6:00 p.m., at the series’ temporary location, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 401 Duval St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

 

Hower will discuss and read from his newest book, What Can You Do: Personal Essays and Travel Writing, including an essay about teaching writing to prison inmates. Author of eight novels and two collections of stories, Hower has over the years been a teacher, nightclub singer, delinquency counselor and writing instructor at workshops throughout the world. His articles and book reviews have appeared in Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times and elsewhere.

The Friends of the Key West Library weekly lecture series is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.
