Know Your Status – Get Tested for HIV

As part of National HIV Testing Day, Peggy Ward-Grant, HIV Prevention and Training Consultant for the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County, speaks with a client before getting tested for HIV at last Saturday’s event at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center and Pool in Key West.   Clients can know their status quickly as the testing process, which involves a finger prick, only takes 15 minutes and is offered at no cost.  Walk-in hours are Mondays and Wednesdays at the Gato Building in Key West from 9am to 12 noon and 1pm to 3pm.   For more information, or to make an appointment call (305) 809-5665 or visit monroe.flhealth.gov.
