VISITING NURSE ASSOCIATION & HOSPICE OF THE FLORIDA KEYS CELEBRATES INDEPENDENCE DAY AT THE 32nd ANNUAL 4TH OF JULY PICNIC

Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of the Florida Keys (VNA/Hospice) celebrates Independence Day as they host their largest fundraiser of the year, The 4th of July Picnic, at the Casa Marina – A Waldorf Astoria Resort (1500 Reynolds Street). Now in its 32nd year, the picnic is a Key West tradition for generations of locals and visitors alike.

Local radio personality, Bill Hoebee will emcee the festivities that include live music by The American Bombshells, featuring local singer Stephanie Leone, along with Picnic staples Skipper Kriptiz, JuJu Strunk, Bubba Lownotes, Larry Baeder, The Lopez Family Motown Revue, Teri White, Raven Cooper, Led Dudley, Tony Thomas, Ben Osborne and many more talented Key West musicians.

This year, several non-profit groups have joined VNA/Hospice to help fundraise for their organizations. The Key West High School Band is taking over the Popcorn Stand and the Family Fun Zone to raise money for new uniforms. The Key West Parrot Heads are running the silent auction to help raise money for over 12 local non-profits. Tips on the stage will be given to Bahama Village Music Program. The Fourth of July Picnic is now truly a collaborative community event.

Great food, fun and games with some friendly competitions, incredible Key West music and a huge silent auction make “The Picnic” the place to spend your July 4th with family and friends with the best view on the beach to enjoy the stunning fireworks display, courtesy of the Rotary Club of Key West.

The party begins when doors open at 5 PM on Saturday, July 4th. All tickets include: watermelon, popcorn and Pepsi products. General admission entry tickets are $10.00 per person. The All-American Picnic Buffet of grilled burgers, hot dogs and sides is $25 per Adult and $10 for children 4 years to 12 years old, 3 and under are free. VIP seating is available in our Best Seats on the Beach for $150 per person. Best Seats on the beach include reserved beach front seating, exclusive picnic dinner buffet, two drink tickets, and a private cash bar.

The funds raised at the picnic are used by VNA/Hospice to continue its service of “Caring for the Keys”. All monies raised in the Keys, remain in the Keys to provide patient care, programs and services to those we serve in Monroe County.
