Chris Gelbuda and Daphne Willis take the Hog’s Breath’s mid-shift, 5:30 – 9:30 pm, Jan. 30 – Feb. 5.

Gelbuda has written songs with a long list of Nashville’s top writers, including Jeffrey Steele, Paul Monk, and Kylie Sackley to name only a few. Willis has Chicago roots and Texas ties, but went to Nashville to record her first album. She recently released her third album, Inside Out.

JW Jones Band, Canada’s top touring blues band, plays the Hog’s Breath Saloon, 400 Front St., Jan. 30 – Feb. 5 , playing the late night gig, 10 pm – 2 am.

JW Jones has one of the most energetic and exciting live show on the scene. The band has played in Canada, USA, Europe, Australia and Brazil and have been invited on stage by the likes of The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Little Charlie and the Nightcats, Rod Piazza and Herbert Sumlin.

Dan Aykroyd wrote the line notes for the band’s 2008 release “Blueslisted.”

Aykroyd said, “This is an amazing band, and I’ve played with the best.”
