On June 9, 2018, American Airlines plans to start non-stop service between Key West International Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The new service was announced at today’s Monroe County Tourist Development Council meeting in Key West.

The commercial service will start with seasonal flights on Saturdays only from June until the end of August using an E175 aircraft that seats 76 passengers, with the potential of service after that timeframe.

“We are thrilled that American will be adding this route in 2018,” said Donald DeGraw, Director of Airports for Monroe County. “With new direct jet service to Dallas, our customers now have more than 100 options for one-stop connections to the United States and abroad.”

Development consultant Mike Lum with Voltaire Aviation and Key West Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Virginia Panico helped in this effort to land new airport service.
